DECEMBER! I’m saying that in capitals as I can’t believe it’s December and my most favourite time of year is just around the corner!
I hope the start of your December has been, and will continue to be, filled with goodness, fun times, happiness and love. I wanted to take a little moment today to thank you for supporting The Wild Hideaway this year, and over the past three years – you honestly make my life great! I appreciate your voices, your comments, your engagement on my social channels and I adore every one of you (okay maybe not the spammers who try and get up in my comment feed!).
Thanks to my sponsors, blog partners and all the lovely businesses who worked with us on our hotel review series, it has been a pleasure to work with you all in 2017 and I look forward to continuing and growing these lovely relationships next year!
It’s been a year of creating more travel content and growing this little space
You might have noticed that I been building up The Wild Hideaway as much as I possibly can with useful content particularly around travel. I am super excited to be able share with you all shortly some exciting plans this brand and space has for 2018 – stay tuned for more info on what the plan is, it’s pretty exciting! I’ll share more on this in the new year.
Looking back, this year has been a pretty great one, I have pushed and challenged myself in my full time marketing role (TWH is still my side hustle), laughed till I cried, had way too many cheese platters and wines with my girlfriends and spent quality time with my family. I am grateful at how I have grown as a person. I have learnt how to appreciate small kindnesses from other people and I have stood up for myself when I have needed to. I have really learnt this year that hard work pays off.
By far the best thing to happen in my life this year was getting to meet not one but three new beautiful family babies – my niece Indi was born on 24th April and my twin nephews Max and Freddie were born on 22nd April. A few months later Dave and I then became god-parents to little Indi and it was such an honour, these babies are just the cutest little things!
How has your year been?
I hope you all look back on 2017 and find things you can smile at, laugh at and can be proud of. If 2017 was a tough or testing year for you I hope as the months roll into 2018 they become a billion times better.
Bring on 2018
It’s always so exciting starting a new year. Bring on new opportunities, new challenges, new accomplishments. My hope for 2018 is that every single one of you has an amazing year, that you all spend 2018 with the people you love the most and you are all healthy, happy and inspired.
Thank you all again for popping over to read my posts from time to time, I truly appreciative your support. Merry Christmas and have the very, very best New Year!
PS – Here are some photos of a recent Christmas family get-together, I love sharing these every year!
