Our Busabout journey throughout Europe would not be complete without a stop in the beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic. We stopped in Prague for 3 nights and I wish we had of stayed for a bit longer. A lot of people travelling with Busabout say it is one of their most loved cities on the loop and I have to agree with them. I loved Prague for its pastel buildings, cobblestone streets and its arty, architectural heritage.
Be sure to check out the Prague Castle when you are here, it is the largest castle complex in the world and the views here are breathtaking. If you are into art or getting or just getting an epic Instagram picture then make sure you stop by the Lennon Wall, It is a colourful graffiti wall honouring John Lennon’s message of peace.
From the 30 years war, to the dark time of Nazi and Soviet occupation, Prague has some of the most interesting history in Europe. I’d highly recommend checking out the Sandemans New Europe free walking to so you can get your bearings and learn a bit about the history of this city. The tour covers spots like the Old Town Square, Astronomical Clock and ends with a great view of Charles Bridge. The “free” walking tours work on a tipping system so if you think the tour guide was good you are encouraged to leave them a tip (and they really are good!).
Here are some photos I took mostly on our walking tour, each time I look at them I just want to go back…
You can experience this location on the Busabout Hop-on Hop-off Europe network. Check out the Busabout website for more details.
Please note: The Wild Hideaway travelled as partners of Busabout, we are spending the 2018 European summer blogging about all of our exciting experiences and adventures with Busabout. As always anything you read here is my personal and honest opinion.
