Hello! I hope you are all having a wonderful week, the weather is getting so much nicer down here in Melbourne that it’s making every day just that tiny bit better – I’m loving it!
You may have noticed lately that I have been posting a lot more about travel, travel tips and destinations as I’m trying to build up this section of the site – I hope you are enjoying all the content coming through because I am loving creating it.
Most of you would know that I juggle blogging with a full time job in marketing, last week I had something pretty big happen in my marketing career that I was super proud of and wanted to share with you all: I have been selected as one of the top 5 finalists for the Australian ADMA AC&E Young Marketer of the Year Awards for the second year running (woooooop!).
The Young Marketer & Young Creative of the Year Awards have emerged as two of the most coveted award categories in the prestigious AC&E Awards. The awards celebrate individuals aged 30 or below with outstanding talent and potential to shape the future of the marketing and advertising industry.
According to ADMA, to be a finalist for the Australian awards you need to be “the most effective marketer, the most influential and the most driven.”
In 2016, I was elatedly named one of the top 5 finalists for my work with search marketing agency, Performics Australia for the hard work and fantastic results I helped achieve for clients such as The Victorian Government, Slater and Gordon and Red Energy.
In 2017, I hit the ground running in my new role as Content Marketing Manager for iSelect and have now been recognised for my recent work on search marketing and content for iSelect as well as my contribution to the marketing industry.
Being a finalist not once, but twice is a huge achievement in itself, especially at the age of 25. You can find out more about the ADMA awards and view the other finalists over on the ADMA website here.
I’ll be heading to Sydney in October for the awards night and staying on for a few extra days, I’ll bring a few hotel and foodie reviews of Sydney over this time!
Thanks for the continued support of my content and marketing efforts, you all rock.
I’ll be checking in on The Wild Hideaway over the next few days, I’ve been working on some content around travel destinations, things to do in St Kilda (Victoria) and much more. Did you check out my most recent post on our 20 spots to tick off your camping bucket list in Australia?
