If you read my post earlier this month on Melbourne’s best candy buffet, you will know that I ventured back to my home town of Ballarat a few weekends ago to host my big sisters baby shower! It was such a great afternoon surrounded by people who are so excited to welcome this little bubba into the world! Here’s some follow up photos from the day…
Baby Shower Games we played:
- Baby Shower Quiz: This included 20 questions about general pregnancy, questions about the mum to be and also a sneaky few images questions where guests had to guess if the pictures of women were in a “preganacy or porno!”
- Guess the birth date, weight, sex and name of the baby: written down for Mum to keep
- Guess Mummas Measurements: Pass around a ball of ribbon and a pair of scissors. Tell each guest to cut off a length of string that they think corresponds to the size of the Mummas belly (make sure no one is cheating by measuring their own or a friend’s waist!). When everyone has a piece of string, invite each person up to try his or her luck measuring the mum-to-be’s belly. Whoever has a string that comes closest to being a perfect measurement, wins.
- Late night nappies: The shower guests were each given a few nappies and some sharpies and were asked to write a message to the new mum on the front and/or back of the nappies. These nappies are to be reserved for late night changes! The point is to write something funny or encouraging to give mum or dad a little pick-me-up in the middle of the night!
