Twenty Two

I turn 22 this week and I am sitting here wondering where this past year has gone. Anyone who knows me would know that I LOVE birthdays so am just a little bit excited. This year flew by though and I just wish time would slow down a little.

When I look back on this year I am grateful at how I have grown as a person. I have learnt how to appreciate small kindnesses from other people and I have stood up for myself when I have needed to. I have learnt that hard work pays off and that my family will be by my side no matter what. I have made some beautiful new friendships and I am focusing more on my health. This past year however also brought sadness and heart break but I have learnt that this okay. This is part of life and I need to keep moving.

When I look back on this year I can say that I am proud of myself. For being a brave 21 year old who decided to leave everything and start a whole new life in a whole new city and I haven’t looked back once.

So bring on 22. May you bring adventure, excitement, good health and happiness. xo.
