10 Christmas gift ideas that are perfect for travel lovers

The festive season is upon us yet again! Can you believe it? I honestly can’t… Christmas is my most favourite time of the year. I was super excited this month that it was time to put together our annual Christmas gift guide (and I may have already out up our Christmas tree at home even though it isn’t December yet!).

I get it, buying gifts for a travel or adventure lover can often be very hard. So if you need some Christmas gift giving inspiration, we’ve got you covered with a great list of gift ideas that are perfect for travel lovers.

I’m a big believer when it comes to Christmas it is really important to live within your means and not to go too crazy with gifts that you might not be able to afford, so if some of the ideas listed here are outside your budget, that’s totally fine. Making someone a really yummy dinner and telling them you love them is incredibly meaningful and will make them pretty happy. There’s still plenty of time to do lots of gift research so this post could just be your inspiration starting point.

Check our our Christmas gift ideas that are perfect for travel lovers:

1. Cord Roll By Afternoons With Albert

I recently came across this little product by Afternoons With Albert and I absolutely love it! It’s honestly the perfect gift for a travel lover, the Cord Roll stores the little things you need when travelling, in particular flying. It enables you to live a tangle free life in a world that requires you to carry a suitcase full of cords to function!

The Cord Roll comes in 3 colours to suit your style – Jet Black, Tan and French Grey. It is made from tanned leather and is sturdy, supple, and full of character. Perfect for both guys and girls.

A big plus with this gift is that it is made locally in Sydney, Australia – I love supporting local designers and makers.

2. Double Travel Adapter with USB

If you like to give gifts that are practical and functional, a Double Travel Adapter with USB  is the perfect thing! You can use this adaptor anywhere in the world, and charge two things via USB and a third via plug outlet.

3. Thankyou Christmas Gift Packs

I love buying Thankyou gifts for my loved ones, Thankyou is a social enterprise that give 100% of their profits from products to helping people in need. They help to get safe water, sanitation, food and child and maternal health programs to people in need.

Their Christmas packs this year are for “the dreamers, world changer and status quo breakers”. Check out some of my favourite of their products and my top picks for gift packs:

4. Noise Cancelling Headphones

This is what I am asking for this Christmas! Give the gift of peace and serenity with noise-cancelling headphones. These are a game changer on flights or when you are in a noisy hostel.

5. Tile

This little Bluetooth tracker, paired with the intuitive Tile app, makes it easy to find everything that matters. To find anything you just put a Tile on it and open the app. You can then ring it if it’s nearby, from there you can check the map for its last known location or even ask the Tile community to help you find it. Perfect to attach to your phone, handbag or luggage when you are travelling!

The Tile Style (which is the white one featured below) is the perfect balance of form and function. Tile Style pairs elegant design with a powerful Bluetooth tracker. It’s nice and loud, has a range of 200ft and is waterproof up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

6. MiGoals Diaries and Notebooks

MiGoals are on a mission to help you unlock the potential within yourself to dream, plan and take action on the life you want. I absolutely love their diaries and notebooks and think they are a perfect guide for Christmas.

The diaries are my favourite, and at $34.95 they are an affordable gift for the travel lover and planner in your life. I’ve uploaded some photos of my 2018 diary below – it’s filled with inspirational quotes, pages on goal setting and everything you need to plan out your days.

7. Books

Never underestimate the power of a great book! A perfect idea to keep them occupied on their next big adventure or flight.

8. Vivra Bum Bag

Guys, bumbags are back in business! Well, these one are… Vivra have came up with a design that is stylish and innovative. I really love these little bags! They allow the avid adventurer, the fitness lover, busy mum and everyone in between to enjoy their workout, travel and day to day activities, hands free. Check out the “New Yorker” style one I picked up recently:

9. Passport holders

I was recently given a personalised Mimco passport holder as a gift and I absolutely loved it. It has my initials in the bottom corner and was such a lovely idea. Some passport holders I am loving lately include Simpatica’s leather passport holders and any of the holders from Kiki K’s latest collection.

10. Do something special!

If some of these ideas are a little over your budget, you could consider giving someone a more thoughtful gift for Christmas, consider giving them an experience to remember. Organise to see them, but don’t tell them what you’re doing, then take them somewhere beautiful and memorable.

Merry Christmas beautiful people xo
